 This year Portland International celebrates its 20th year in business, a record of which we are very proud. We have prospered during the gyrations of the market and have always sought to evolve and reinvent ourselves in order to be able to listen to and meet the changing needs of our clients and continue to be a ‘business for all seasons’.
Our roots are in human resource and change management consultancy and the business has a track record of managing large scale projects involving organisational restructuring and the consequent culture and people changes – with expertise in both executive search and selection and outplacement.
Our focus for the past several years has been more specifically as a coaching consultancy with the emphasis on senior executive coaching and mentoring as well as board and leadership development and top team coaching. We are based in Manchester in NW England but operate throughout the UK and internationally, working primarily with larger corporates and growing SME's especially in the retail, financial and professional services and FMCG markets as well the public sector.
We continue to be privately owned and this independence of spirit enables us to follow our own personal values and aspirations more closely and to aim to find client work which accords with this and gives us a greater sense of purpose. Clients who value who we are as much as what we do – who also have a concern to develop and evolve themselves, grow their businesses profitably – and sustainably - but also aim to put something back.
